Natural Newborn Lifestyle Photography
After shooting Clare's maternity photos a while back I had the great pleasure of meeting her little baby boy, Vincent last month. Only two weeks old and so tiny and snuggly. I spent a wonderful couple of hours in the familys company reminding myself how small my own little boy was not so long ago! Congratulations x

Family Portrait & Maternity Shoot - Lake District
A few weeks back I had the great pleasure of visiting an old friend in the beautiful Lake District and taking some family photos as they prepared for the arrival of their second child. Lisa, Rob & Fredi have since welcomed Matilda May into the world earlier this month. Congratulations, can't wait to meet her ! xx

Laidback Natural Light Maternity Shoot
Those who follow my work will know I love natural light. It's organic, changes with the time of day and the seasons and is readily available. But to use it to your best advantage does require an understanding of how to read light and also how to control or manipulate it to produce great images. Someone told me once photography is all about the light and that's so true. Nothing excites me more than when the light is great and I can create wonderful images like these without a single studio light.
I photographed Adam and Clare's wedding back in September 2013 and was delighted when Clare asked me to shoot her maternity photos. I invited them over to my home where my bedroom has the most fantastic natural light, perfect for a laid back shoot like this. Here they are at 34 weeks and their little boy is due in April. x

Ian & Kathryn's Wedding, St Andrews Church Gargrave & Newton Grange, North Yorks, 19th July 2014
I had the huge pleasure last summer of shooting Ian & Kathryn's wedding in the beautiful locations of Gargrave & Newton Grange near Skipton. Kathryn worked really hard on planning the day and created a gorgeous vintage country wedding with lots of lovely details. The great British weather threw us a curveball by raining after a solid fortnight of amazing weather! But, as usual with my couples, they didn't let a slight hiccup spoil their day - we simply worked around it and still managed to get some great couple portraits. If you know where to look for the light, impromptu locations can be found......Kathryn and Ian are so laid back it was so easy to work with them and capture their special day, no mean feat at 34 weeks pregnant as I was back then! I had a lovely day and I think their personalitys totally shine through in their photos, enjoy..... xx
